Is it safe? Does it really yield more positive results than regular dating? If you meet someone through internet dating do you have to talk to them in person? How can you keep a person you meet on the internet from knowing all your personal information? Is it safe? Well, there are many liars, stalkers and wierdo's on the net so be skeptical. There also some normal nice people so don't give up.





It may not produce better results than regular dating but it does open up many more opportunities to meet people and meet them virtually without risk and without wasting a lot of time before a physical visit is agreed upon. It is good to chat and exchange mail for a while before visiting. Serious people will understand and are being cautious too. If they stop corresponding then its okay, they weren't serious or it wasn't a good match.





Sometimes women bring a friend to the first face to face meeting. This is not unreasonable. They can get a second opinion as well as additional security. If the guy doesn't like this, then you should wonder why.





Depending on the service you use, the other people on the internet can only see your selected nickname and public profile. If you are discreet in providing information to the dating service then your anonymity will be protected.
