Internet dating question regarding emailing?

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to meeting and chatting with people online, but I've met a few gems along the way. I have a question for anyone who has used an internet dating site. If the person posts their username and they have an associated email that coincides with that username, is it ok to send them an email other than being confinec to the constraints of the dating site, i.e. some people cannot read their email unless they pay a fee. Btw there are two foxes I am chasing, hope they're both for real :)

Internet dating question regarding emailing?
Most people on internet dating sites sign up for a reason - so their real identity is protected, and they don't get flooded with propositions from any skanky weirdo who happens to figure out their real email. Now, assuming that you're NOT a skanky weirdo and are in fact a perfectly nice normal guy, you ought to respect this protective barrier and contact them via the internet dating site. If their profiles hints that they would welcome messages at their real email address, then by all means go ahead.

If you are bound and determined to contact these people anyway, be sure to start out with a "I hope you don't mind that I circumvented the dating site and wrote to you directly."

And please don't call women "foxes" or "chicks" - we are not prey you are hunting, we are people you are relating with.
Reply:Give it a try.
Reply:Go ahead man.
Reply:Use the email address and some can't pay or refuse to pay and it's a tough battle trying to find someone. Use all means available to you.
Reply:I am a member of a totally free dating site, unlimited emails, chat etc. Yet there are attractive women that ask me to email them at their personal address. It is hard not to resist, but according to the dating site admin, they are scammers, mostly from eastern europe and africa. The offending profile was removed from the site. The site has blocked most scammers quiet effectively, but I guess some slip through.

I have tried email one and she told me a sob story and asked me to help by sending her money.
Reply:They put it on there for a reason.
Reply:I guess you could try emailing them that way but lots of people use different names on dating sites. Don't be too disappointed if the foxes turn out to be dogs.
Reply:You can always try. You can also send your email address or number in your messages to them.
Reply:If I were the recipient, I would think you were a little desperate for contacting me outside the confines of the site.
