Internet dating?
Why worry - there's nothing wrong with internet dating as long as you enter into it sensibly and take precautions. It' s certainly no worse than answering a newspaper add or joining a dating club!

However, I know of girls who have done it, especially from Eastern European countries like Ukraine and Russia who's sole aim was to catch a husband (and maybe a Green card). Love was not a factor or a motivation at all, so watch out guys!!
Reply:tried it 3 times the first two looked nothing like their photo, the other did and we spent a whole exciting summer together and still keep in touch, We have a lot of good memories we went camping, Yankees game, Farm aid concert, movies, Zoo, Atlantic CIty, tennis, and countless meals at restaurants.

Reply:I have done it, and the most recent one has resulted in my family which includes my sleepless 8 month old. I do not know if you would call it internet dating (for me) because we met on the internet, eventually moved in one another, and on it went, but a lot of what we did was on the internet and phone. It was also a LONG time ago...1998 was when we first met on the internet and on the fourteenth of this month we will celebrate 10 years of knowing one another. She was from California, I from Long Island and we met through an AOL posting I had made (not a dating site or even a dating forum). We met face to face in California for the first time in September of 1998 and I moved there in December 1999, then we married in August 2001, and finally moved back to Long Island December 2005.

It worked for me (as well as for some other times before I met her - I had my issues overcoming the social anxieties of finding a date the "traditional" way due to shyness and self confidence issues).

Never the less it has been wonderful, and our little Seth has been the product of this relationship. It worked for us, and admittedly it happened at a time of the internet's life when the dangers that now pervade the internet were not as present.

It always pays to be careful, and what my wife and I did and the way we did it was dangerous, but we were both lucky that we were who we were and neither of us was crazy.

We now live on Long Island are very happy and thankful for the internet :)
Reply:i have met some really nice guys from internet dating and some psychos too. my advice is to be very careful. i will continue to do it because where i live is a small town of either old people or married people. i work with all women, so i dont get to meet people any other way. i have a crew of girlfriends that will "stalk" me on my dates to make sure im ok and this has worked out really good. just steer clear of the ones who talk about sex to you before even meeting them or asks for your number before even getting to know you via email or IM first.
Reply:I have done it before and trust me its nothing at all!!! It's not even close to matching a real BF.

Internet Dating is just...Idk..kinda stupid really

but thats me!
