Internet dating?

what is the most effective way to first email someone your intersted in?

Internet dating?
Babe,

please!!!! dating thru internet isn't for decent people. Only thing you will find is confusion....stress and indecentcy!!!!
Reply:idk, but im tryin to figure that out too
Reply:I tried it through craigslist. I'm fairly creative, so I got plenty of responses. About 90% of the people on dating sites have some serious emotional issues. They are usually dishonest, some just do it for the responses as a way to pump up their ego.

There were a few that I would communicate quite a bit with. Some would offer to start calling, eventually most of them just fell off the map for no discernable reason.

I did have a couple good dates. You will find that it is a womens market as there is about 10 times as many men on the sites. Women feel a little odd about making a profile, and those that do probably feel very scared about the responses they get.

I made a profile once in the womens section, No where did I even indicate or make false claims that I was a woman. The responses I got were indeed interesting.

Moral of the story, go meet people out in public. Use internet dating just as something fun.
Reply:i'm trying to figure out the same thing =D
Reply:just the typical short introductory hey i saw u on blah blah site then say something about their profile that you liked even if it was only the pic. Ask a q or two then just leave things open for convo.
Reply:just find something you will like to ask about and start from there. It could be something you aready know.
Reply:First of all, don't use the generic approach that the site gives you..it's common and worn out...try your own approach 1st. Ask her to take a look at your profile and if she's interested to email you back.Too many guys pressure women online too fast..keep it simple and sweet
Reply:Well, first you have to meet them online, usually as part of a dating site like Match, eHarmony, Yahoo Personals, or a social networking site like MySpace, Friendster, etc. The dating sites charge a fee, but offer a lot of good basic advice, and you know everyone there is interested in dating.

Email the person and introduce yourself (name, general location, interests, work/school). Say something like, "Hey, I saw your profile and you seem really interesting, I'd really like to get to know you." Ask them a follow-up question to something in their posting to get the conversation going - "I liked that picture of you waterskiing at Lake Tahoe, it looked so fun! Do you go up there often? Do you like intense sports or was it a one-time adventure?"

Remember to check your spelling and grammar - it makes a much better impression.
Reply:Just be upfront and honest i met my now husband and the father of my 2 boys on the internet and couldnt be happier of course he mad all the moves but all you have to do is be honest with them
