yay or nay? Kinda tired of the bar scene, wanted to know if anyones tried it, and if so do you reccomend any sites?

My brother-in law met his wife that way. lol. I dunno, it doesn't work for everybody. Just be careful that that hot blonde you're iming is really hot...and a female! That would suck if you were actually talking to an old bald guy named Steven who lives in upstate NY! lol.


Seriously, though, why don't you try going to your local county fair when it somes to town? That's how I met my sweetie...and you can have a good time!

Reply:Works for some more than others. For me, it sucked. I'd rather meet someone in real life first than over the net. That way either of us won't have any expectations toward one another when we do meet.
Reply:I was 26 and I met this guy online, same age, really good looking. So we talked on the phone alot and got to know each other. He lived in the next state over. We eventually met, but I brought friends with me. We clicked right away. I met his family, everything was working out...too well. A year into our relationship, I found out he had a child, later on I found out he met this girl he had a one night stand with in a chatroom. And then I decided to do my own research, and he supposedly scopes out chatrooms and has talked and met several girls online. He told me he had only did it one other time besides me. I will never ever meet someone from the internet again. It can work., but my experience was too intense.
Reply:my 2 closest friends are in relationships of over a year now and they were both started online. craigslist and myspace. i definately think its the new way to meet people outside of drunken bars. match.com if youwant to pay is pretty decent i heard. but other than that.. Myspace if you want to learn more from a person without having to read personals on craigslist. but you can also post on craigslist for free and see what responses you get. it doesnt hurt trying. good luck!

Reply:i gotta say myspace is by far the best ha its free and almost everyone my age group has an account. You can search for singles by your zipcode just like you can for any pay site. A lot of the pay sites annoy me anyway cuz people email you to get your personal email just to send you offers to other sites. Depressing when you think u got a date set then get an offer to get her information through another site lol. A lot of the other sites have fake profiles that email you too just to keep you interested. Adultfriendfinder is like a sausagefest too. The problem with internet dating is it seems every site you find has like 1 attractive woman to 30 guys so no matter what your just a little voice in a crowd of guys trying to contact the same person.

Reply:Yay yay ! even thought I haven't taken that step yet lol, as for me I friends that are married or have boyfriends so am not going to a club on my own especially when girls night out is every five months. Work takes most of my day so when I have free time I rather rest with the lap top and then I think the Internet is the next best thing, so i went into the yahoo personals to see if I take a go at it and I encountered alot of intresting profiles, of course like anything else you have to be carefull as for me I will get the guts soon.
