Has anybody here had a lasting or at least a meaningful relationship with someone they met from the net?? what's your take on it

I find internet dating better than going to a club and meeting someone. You get to know the persons personality forst and much more about the person, One has to be truthful and open or else it wont work.Also you can find exactly what you looking for as you read their profiles. The meeting up is the best part, but make sure you both deside you wont be quite and that you will have things to talk about

Reply:I have met 2 boyfriends, 1 lasted for 6 months, and though we broke up we are still good friends. He moved away for school, and though we still loved each other knew a long distance relationship was no good (for us). The 2nd lasted for quite a bit longer, and then due to a family issue he too moved away. We continued to talk all the time, and now are back together. :)





I have also met a good number of people online who didn't work out and became friends.
Reply:I had. We met as chatters then I thought he is a kind man. He was so courteous that is why I like him. He asked my number and kept sending messages until such time that we agreed to meet. After a month, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I agreed. After 1 year and 8 months, we got married. I believe it was worth the risk. But I think I am just lucky and I am aware that not all who meet a man from internet are as successful as I am.
Reply:I met my life partner on the Internet, we have been together for 5 years now, and the only thing I think is necessary is to be careful when getting into an online relationship, it can be very dangerous and I know that I am one of the lucky few, it just takes trust and honesty.

Reply:I have come close to death from lonliness trying to find a boyfriend on here I can be with.I have Yahoo Personals I spent good hard earned bucks on only to find guys in my area wanting to meet for discreet sex...I talk to a great guy on here but he is miles away.I feel bad because he was really worried when I plummeted off the deep end in my questions earlier.Lonliness may not bother some people,but I need human contact.I have never witnessed an online relationship that was viable,much less long term.Talking to someone then meeting is a crap shoot.I've been stood up and I have met the holy roller who set out to convert me by getting close to me and lying through what turned out to be false teeth.Be careful whatever you do.And if you run into anyone around Southeast Texas I have references!!!Ha!Ha!
