Reply:It works great because you get to talk to the real person and really get to know them before making a sexual commitment to them. Quite often in this day and age the sex happens on the first date and then they look at each other and realise there is nothing else there.

You have to be incredibly committed, and it really sucks, because you -can't- touch the person, or hug them, or hold them, or kiss, or...yeah, it sucks. Physical presence is a big thing. :(





He is going to move here one day though, so I guess it can work... Also, my mother and stepdad met and dated online before they got married. So it worked for them.





Still, I think it's really difficult and often doesn't work. You should avoid it if at all possible. =)
Reply:IT's dangerous cuz anyone can lie on the internet....My friend in college was emailing this guy who said he was 18 and really hot but he came to her house and ended up being some 35 year old creep. I don't do that.

Reply:Yes it can, but be careful! Get to know them really well, meet them in person and spend some real face-to-face time with them before you commit yourself wholeheartedly. I've known people who have been physically hurt, lost a lot of money, and/or ended up in a bad way because they fell for and trusted people that really couldn't be trusted. So, BE CAREFUL!
