Internet dating?

just curious never considered it but would like to hear from thos who have tried it did it work out were they totally oppsite of how they presented thier self,what do those of you think of it in general.

truth...it is a good thing...met my girl there and we're 4 years together...lotsa deadwood and pervs, but lots and lots of good people too..play safe..meet in public...don't be discouraged by the inevitable weinies....

It hasn't for me particularly, but I would still encourage people to give it a go.


There are some sites where you don't have to pay, for a start, and besides, it can just be complementary to other ways of looking, be it the gym, the clubs etc...

For me, it lasted just a few months unfortunately... I think the guy I sorta seeing me casually, I was just another conquest for him.

Reply:You take your chances just as you do in real life. People act like date rape started with on-line dating. Get real. The people you meet at a charity function, church, the grocery store or a bar can lie to you just as easily as someone on a computer. Use common sense. The weirdos aren't hard to spot and use the same safety precautions you would with any other date. I've used it and had good results.
Reply:Depends on your situation. I believe that online dating is for a more desperate person--I mean, sure, some people have met their future spouses this way, but I wouldn't recommend it. I wouldn't decline it, either. I have mixed feelings for it just because of the safety--you don't know who the person on the other end is--like people have mentioned...girls have been abducted, raped...just by doing this, you leave yourself open for potential harm. My advice to you: Stick to people in real life.
