I have done this and it has worked out for me. I am now married to the man I had a long distance, met on the internet, relationship with. I will tell you from a woman's point of view, you will need to make an extra effort at this relationship. Call when you can, send cards, small gifts or gestures to her. Let her know you care and she is important to you. This is going to require more work than if you had met a traditional way.
