Yes it works, I've been with my yahoo personal date for 4 years and things couldn't be better. The reason it works well is that when you first meet you put aside the looks factor and usually tell things that you wouldn't if you was face to face. We chatted for 6 months before meeting up and we learned more about each other those first 6 months then the whole 4 years we've been together. Make sure and go slow and when you do meet be smart and meet in a public place so its comfortable for both. We actually met at a roller rink with our kids and at first I wasn't really attracted to her that much, we did meet a couple times after that then out of the blue she asked me over to her house for dinner. I went over with the intention of visiting a good friend and walked away that night in awww and in love, neither of us had this intention it just happened and I have found that she is my soul mate. We are getting married this summer! True story

Reply:some people on the internet are not truthful. Is harder to tell as you are not looking this person in the eye as you talk. Then there most likely are a few who are being honest. Internet dating is risky just as any other. Need to take things slow, when do meet do so in public place, and take things one step at a time. Are both good and bad people on internet just as anyplace else.
