im serious. allot of things in the new has made me think about stop all this internet dating stuff. should giivng up be the only option to this problem.or should i do something about it. help me

I think what Juan means is does internet dating cause the death OF small communities. In other words, because people can meet up on the Internet, and presumably move away, they won't look for their high school sweetheart or others available nearby who might be interested in "blooming where they're planted."





I don't know if Internet dating would have an appreciable effect on the decay of our small towns, but it's just one more way that technology / communication / urbanism is leading to the concentration of populations in urban centers. If you could choose from between 20 eligible women in your town of 400 or 20,000,000 women throughout the world, which would you rather pick from?

Reply:Ummm - I think the answer is no. You need to learn to write a coherent question since I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to say. Internet dating might even liven up small communities by bringing in new people if they get involved with people that live outside the community and have them move in.

Also, if you're going to make an outrageous claim, you need to back it up with an explanation or research - not just "I heard it on the news." You have to explain WHY you think this is happening, and present a logical conclusion supported by evidence.

Reply:well internet dating can be very dangrous if you dont know who your talking to.... i dont mean to freak you out but for all you know you could be talking to a killer... thats why i dont give out any of my personal information when giving people advice the most people know about me is my age. I would give it some thought on if you want to take the risk of talking to people you have no idea about... the reason im so freaked about it is because my mom's friend got killed by some guy she didnt know to well.
